You rise with the cosmological tide
Although each of the Human Design Types has a role in the cosmic drama of life, only Projectors are said to be on the ascendancy.
What does this mean?
Well, it won’t look like what you’ve been conditioned to believe by the world.
This ascendancy isn’t manifesting the directing, commanding energy of the Manifestor. It isn’t generating the busy, building energy of the Generator. Instead, the way Projectors lead is quite revolutionary.
Projector leadership can be understood through the phrase, ‘power versus force.’ Now, there can be confusion about these two ways of engaging with the world.
Power
Radiates… Influences… Emanates… Regenerates
Force
Controls… Manipulates… Is forced… Uses up energy
In the world we’ve grown up in, force has been and is seen as essential to leadership and accomplishment. And that isn’t to say that Manifestors and Generators are acting in correctness if they employ Force. It’s that incorrect use of their energy has been reinforced by an overarching view that doing is the most important way to be.
However, now, everything is changing. The Global background frequency will no longer provide the same support with the force of the Collective or the Tribe. Instead, the energetic fabric of the Universe will now be designed to support power — particularly individual empowerment.
In February of 2027, the Global Cycle shifts from the Cross of Planning to the Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix. When it does, the background energetic frequency shifts to supporting Individuality and Empowerment rather than collective hierarchies and tribal support. Most of what you’ll read about this change focuses on the differences between these two crosses. It’s helpful to also know that each cycle has a second cross and right now, that’s the Cross of Maya which is shifting to the Cross of Penetration.
How To Read The Global Cycles
Below are illustrations of how the two crosses of each era interact. Our current era, named the Cross of Planning, consists of gates 37, 40, 9, and 16. You can see those numbers located in the inner part of the diagram at the west, east, north and south positions. The Cross of Maya consists of gates 61, 62, 32, 42. Those numbers are located at the northwest, southeast, northeast, and southwest points of the inner part of the diagram.
Highlighted in yellow in the mandala are Gates 25, 46, 10, and 15 which make up the Cross of the Vessel of Love, and Gates 13, 7, 1, and 2 which make up the Cross of the Sphinx. These eight gates are all located in the G Center of the Human Design Bodygraph. They form the Locks for which the transiting era’s gates become the Keys. The Locks never change. Each cycle gate is a Key that fits into a Lock. The Keys change approximately every 400 years.
So a Global Cycle isn’t just some kind of abstract. It’s why these Locks and Keys mean so much, because we carry them within our bodies. It works within all of humanity, within all of life. There are more layers of insight into what each of the G Center gates holds and delivers to us that explain why it’s the center tuned to and embodying the energies of the current era. When most people talk about this shift, you’ll find that they focus on the Keys to the Locks associated with the Cross of the Vessel of Love. This is why you’ll see or hear it named as the era of the Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix. I’ve found it helpful to be given a more expansive view of the landscape by also looking at the Cross of Penetration’s influence.
Each of the eight Locks serves a function and asks a specific Core Question answered by the gates of the era’s crosses. While the four gates forming the Locks of the Cross of the Vessel of Love have important questions and influence, it’s empowering to know that the Cross of the Sphinx G Center gates play an equal role. Here you can see the Lock gates, Core Questions, the upcoming 2027 Key gates, and the energetic themes those keys bring.
When you read the Core Questions, that tells you the quality of influence that particular Key will have during that era.
What Does This Mean For Projectors?
This new energy field that we will all live in and be influenced by has a strong essence of individuality and personal empowerment. And even Projectors without Individual circuitry are designed to focus in on the individual, penetrating and absorbing their energetic information. As advisors who can guide, Projectors guide best one-on-one. That doesn’t mean a Projector can’t be good with groups. It means that this powerful laser-like perception is made to see into one person at a time.
It’s a natural fit for Projectors to lead others to successful expression of individuality and empowerment. Specifically, for the Generator majority, Projectors will be essential for guiding them in using their abundant energy for building once the Cross of Planning and Cross of Maya tribal and collective energies fade.
My sense is that the most vital way to move into this new era as a Projector is to learn, live, and love your design and all that it carries. We’ve all been conditioned to believe that we’re here to measure ourselves by how much we get done and how much energy we have.
Begin by asking yourself: “What awareness did I experience today?” Assess the success of your day and yourself through this radically different lens. Notice when you spend your energy trying to hack the energy of others or of your openness. Consider giving yourself a “doing” fast.
When we truly understand the nature of our Projector design and its innate access to power, we can stop using force which is good for our body, mind, and spirit. And that is good for everyone.
